| More highlights from the trip that I was thanking God for...
Watching the lightning in the sky at night AND the lightning bugs... crazy awesome little things. The trees lit up with the lightning bugs almost looks like Christmas tree lights sprinkled but more like flashes of lighting as if 1000 little cameras being taken pictures of you. It was beautiful! And honestly, when was the last time you went outside and admired the heat lightning. And thought about how Big and awesome God is! :) There's a challenge for you for the rest of the summer. | God delights in growth. He absolutely loves it. I couldn't help but start thinking about that this week. Everything has stages of life and growth in it. Look at the flowers, little babies, and of course puppies. I always wish that puppies would stay puppies because they are just so cute, but God designed us and them to grow and to experience. He created us to grow. When we become Christians He enables us to grow spiritually fully. Not only does He delight in the fact that He created us, but He is for us and for our growth. What a beautiful thing! Just wanted to share. Be blessed. And May God open your eyes this week to show you more of how He utilizes things in our lives to help us grow and how wonderfully things do grow. Be blessed! Jesus loves you and so do I! | | |
| Wow, Its been a while.... I am sorry for those of you out there that actually read this. Let me try to summarize the month of June: surfing, road trip to Miami, trip to Iowa (both were awesome blasts did a couple of new things ... went to a drum circle, skateboarded in a parking garage, learned how to shoot a bow and I could go on BUT THE BEST parts were hanging out and seeing the friends that lived in both areas!). I"m doing well. I got really really sick yesterday and so today is a day of continued recooperation, BUT I am recooperating. Praise the Lord. I will be in town for two weeks before I hit up the youth group camp trip and my friend's youth group mission trip. So if you want to hang out give me a call sometime this week or next. | So today was AMAZING! Dude when you let God schedule your day it rocks a whole bunch. So to start out I got to do Pilates with my mom and Laurie called me and we hung out and read Esther and talked about Bible study... and saw Brittany Tait. So much fun! Then Laurie and I went and played frisbee with Kailie and Deann and then we went to their house to dip our feet in their pool. And it would've just stayed with the feet until yeah I fell in trying to sit down... EMBARASSING.. so we all just swam in our clothes for a while and played in the sprinklers and I skateboarded down their driveway and we juggled the soccer ball... all in all I gotta say it was great! And these girls like to surf too so I have some surfing buddies this summer. :) Then I got to go play with the project/welfare kids and cook hot dogs and give piggy back rides and play baseball and duck duck goose...It was such good fun. ANd I"m amazed because God put that desire in my heart this week and then fulfilled it this weekend and I was supposed to help feed the homeless but it fell through and rightfully so ... so I could play with those kids. The just need love like us all. It was draining and I zoned out a bit but it was so fun. And then after dinner and a shower... Ben called me and I decided to dec out 80's and head over and hang out with Ben and Laurie. Oh yes, side pony tail please! Ok so Ben, Laurie, and I danced FOR EVER to 80's and ska. It was so fun. And Laurie's side pony tail should become a day by day thing. And then We had a huge pillow fight and of course we chilled (but I must admit Laurie and I won at the pillow fight... sorry ben). So here I am amazed at how God puts the pieces of our days and weeks and lives together. He loves you and He wants you to know His love. Go rock out to the 80's and receive Jesus' love. Serve Jesus and life will be beautiful! Rocky at times and their will be hurdles but You will know the one who made life and afterall that's not bad. :)
